Lotus Film Festival Honolulu

Education At Elevation (E@E), presents a day of film, talks, and discussions on peace, compassion, and Tibetan Buddhist culture.  

All the proceeds will go towards education, food, shelter, and shoes for impoverished kids and seniors in a remote nomadic village in eastern Tibet.  

Benefits:

  • 35 Children for education in Tibetan and Mandarin languages.
  • 60 impoverished seniors for art and craft classes in the winter and spring where the nomads wait out for warmer weather.

Showcasing The Unmistaken Child followed by an hour of discussion/dialogue. 

Unmistaken Child – Charged with the task from the Dalai Lama, his devoted deciple, Tenzin Zopa spends a four-year search for the reincarnation of his spiritual leader, Tibetan master Geshe Lama Konchog. Visually stunning and emotionally gripping, Unmistaken Child is the first real time documentation of the search for a reincarnated master.

Guest Speaker: 

Sonam Sherpa Rinpoche, who was born in Tibet, loves to teach Tibetan meditation and sharing his wisdom.  He has earned the title of Tulku, which is equivalent to a Ph.D. in Buddhism studies.  Rinpoche has been actively teaching across South East Asia.
